The National Assembly is making great progress! Members of the Third Estate will no long carry all the finical burden of France. The National Assembly has declared commoners equal to nobles and the clergy;there privileges are done with. We wanted to insure that things would never go back to the horrible way its was, so commoners will always be protected by the government. All of the new ideas were written down in a document called the Declaration on the Rights of Men. It states that all men are born and remain free and in equal rights, these rights are liberty, property, security, and resistance to oppression. In addition every citizen is guaranteed equal justice and freedom of speech and religion. Today, true progress was made. Change is good!
Indeed! We have finally been granted the equality that was denied to us throughout our lives! I will not have to pay any unjust taxes anymore. I will not have to suffer from the discrimination that I always have. I cannot believe that this day has finally happened!
