The Reign of Terror.
This is madness! People are dying for no good reason. Chaios is everwhere. There seems to be more problem then their were before. This is not what the Revolution should look like. Lives should not be lost in the name of freedom. Today at This Robespierre is worse than Louis XVI!He kills in the name of the revolution. He thinks that what he is doing is upholding the right of the people, but realy he is destorying them. What will end this madness? Who will take control? How will they do it? The National Assembly cannot come up with a solution; our meetings just turn into debates that get us nowhere. This one is just too big for the National Assembly. Above all, whoever takes over must never forget our constitution.
Execution of the King, Jan 1793
The people of France are finally free. We had started to move on, but with the former King out of the way we can propell forward.
The Constitution of 1791
Today it is finalized! All of our work, debates, riots and struggle was well worth it. I would do it again if I had to. I always tell my children to fight for what you believe in, but the past few years I've had the chance to show them that I practice what I preach. Today the King signed the constitution that the Nation Assembly had argued over for two years! It was finally completed, it and will insure the freedom and rights for French citizens; starting now and not ending ever. The king no longer has "divine right" the Legislative assmbly holds the power to create laws and accept or reject declarations of war. He was reluctant in signing it but he signed it in the end. France will never be the same, and that is worth all the chanlleges we had to overcome to get here.
Attack of Bastille July 1789
Today was almost to exciteing to bare. I and other members of the National Assembly had been told that the King was trying to use military force to dismiss the national Assembly, and even have forgein troops come to kill French citizens! Louis is the one who led France to the disaster that is is now. The people of France have steped up to repair the land that we love, while he does everything he can to destroy it. We could not let this happen. We banded together and we marched shouting our rights and fredoms into Bastille distoying anyone in the way. How could we just let our feedom and our lives be snatched away? Not again! Today the National Assembly was victorious.

Decrees and Declaration of Rights of Man Citizen, August 1789
The National Assembly is making great progress! Members of the Third Estate will no long carry all the finical burden of France. The National Assembly has declared commoners equal to nobles and the clergy;there privileges are done with. We wanted to insure that things would never go back to the horrible way its was, so commoners will always be protected by the government. All of the new ideas were written down in a document called the Declaration on the Rights of Men. It states that all men are born and remain free and in equal rights, these rights are liberty, property, security, and resistance to oppression. In addition every citizen is guaranteed equal justice and freedom of speech and religion. Today, true progress was made. Change is good!

Formation of the Nation Assembly, June 1789
Today was a great day! My prayers were finally answered. The third estate is now called the Nation Assembly. Our voice can finally be heard we will no longer be held down but unfair policies and carry the burden of France because of the First and Second estates exemption from paying taxes. We are capable of much more than that. This idea was inspired from an amazing man named Emmanuel-Joseph Sieyes, a clergyman! He was such a passionate speaker at the meeting his speech excited everyone of us. It was like we had this power among ourself we just need someone to build us up instead of the traditional belittling of the Third Estate. Now, the National Assembly has the power to pass laws and reforms in the name of the French people. Finally, France is how it is suppose to be. God created all men equal and now we will be prosperous because we are acknowledging this simple truth that will propel France forward.
Basic in Info/ 1st Post:
I am a 22 year old banker, so I am member of the bourgeoisie, the 3rd estate. I live in Paris and I have 5 children and we lived fine until taxes started rising as did the price of wheat.
Louis XVI and the queen are destroying France . The working people are suffering because of the carelessness of the King and Queen and the privileges of the 1st and 2nd estates. The Assembly is a great idea when you don’t have a strong leader it is impossible for an absolute monarchy to be successful. The new constitution would be a great break through for France and hopefully it can become great country again.
